This fine bone china was made by the Shelly factory, Longton, Staffordshire between 1925 and 1940.
This china doesn't have a pattern name stamped on it and I have called it "Country Lane" as it depicts a typical English country lane! I would describe this as very art deco in style. The pieces are white and are edged with a striking orange colour and have orange handles. Some of the pieces feature a blue butterfly and some have a red butterfly. This is a very unusual pattern.
All items are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The pieces are all marked with a number 2 and so these may be seconds.
